Quotable Quotes: Mark Twain

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime."
- Innocents Abroad, Mark Twain

  1. It's one of my favorites - has been for many years. Maybe I think it justifies my restless spirit - always wanting to go, see and do? But, I also know the travel I have done has challenged my perspective and changed my views on people or issues. Travel and reading have been my best teachers in life.
