Interesting International Facts: water access

Did you know?

That Lesotho is one of the few countries in the developing world where foreigners can drink the water and not get sick to the stomach - though there were a few worms in the water, so many on the trip are taking a deworming medicine...just in case.

The population of Lesotho is dropping rapidly. In approximately five years they have gone from over 4 million in population to just over 2 million. This is largely attributed to AIDS, but no one wants to talk about that as the cause. There's an inclination to blame it more on migration (which is a contributing factor, but can't possible account for all the missing people).
