The wonders of the dragon fruit

A few years ago I was introduced to the dragon fruit. It has a hot pink and lime green rind. Inside it is white with black polka dots. I discovered it on my first journey to Thailand. I tried it because it was so colorful and bright colors attract me. I assumed that something with that much color must have a taste that explodes in your mouth, how could it be any other way? I was wrong! I've tried many dragon fruit expecting to come across one with an explosion of taste. So far, nothing...it tastes like nothing. Why would God create something so colorful with no flavor?
