travelers woes

I think the airlines are determined to put themselves out of business. With customer care like this, people will choose to drive instead. At least I do. If I'm not going over the ocean than I'd rather not bother with the hassles of air travel. They just keep piling on the hassles.

Continental reduces maximum length for carry-ons.

Starting Nov. 1, Continental is requiring that all carry-on bags be no more than 45 linear inches for all flights. The airline’s current maximum size for carry-ons is 51 linear inches.

Earlier this month, Continental began charging domestic coach passengers $15 each way for the first checked bag, making overhead storage space even more in demand than it was before the $15 rule.

In addition to one carry-on bag, each passenger can continue to tote a personal item (briefcase, purse, laptop, camera case, DVD player, etc.), a personal aid device (wheelchair, brace, cane, crutches, etc.) and one baby-related article (collapsible stroller, diaper bag, child seat, etc.)
